LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ – Nicole Monahan and Christopher Parks from Wind Gap, PA were the second non-crew members to be married on the A.J. Meerwald in Barnegat Bay, LBI on Saturday, July 24, 2010. They were surrounded by friends, family, members of the media, sponsoring organizations and wedding professionals, and onlookers. The ceremony service was performed by Deborah C. Whitcraft, wedding officiant and former Mayor of Beach Haven, NJ.

Invitations were provided by Stephanie Somodi of Designing Your Most Inviting Day, offering a beach theme for this “destination wedding” along the Jersey Shore. Flowers for the ceremony, including the bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets and corsages/boutonnieres were supplied by Camille’s Floral Designs. Make-up and hair styling for the bride and her bridesmaids was performed by Michele Falco from Bridal Make-up and Hair by Michele. Photos were taken by David Toth and Danielle Vennard from David Toth Photographer. Video footage was shot by Jon Slackman from J & S Video Services. Wedding planning and consulting services were provided by members of Association of Bridal Consultants – New Jersey branch.

This unique opportunity for Nicole and Christopher to be married on New Jersey’s official “Tall Ship” was part of a scheduled trip to Barnegat Bay of the schooner A.J. Meerwald, based in Bivalve, NJ. The event was sponsored by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism, Reclam The Bay, Schooner A.J.
