LONG BEACH ISLAND, N.J. — Ocean views, rolling dunes and pristine white beaches coupled with picture-perfect wedding venues are all part of the spectacle at the Sixth Annual “Award-winning” Wedding Road Show in Long Beach Island (LBI), New Jersey on April 27th, 2014. Sponsored by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, the complimentary road show welcomes future brides and their entourage to view a multitude of venues and explore the 18-mile long island for a destination wedding. Space is limited therefore participants are encouraged to register online at www.visitLBIregion.com.
“What makes our tour special is the fact that it’s self guided; there’s no timed schedule or person pushing you along,” said Lori Pepenella, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Destination Marketing Director “Essentially, future brides and their friends, family or grooms-to-be are provided a map and encouraged to visit and linger at whatever venue they desire and explore areas of the island that’s appealing to them.”
The free tour offers detailed viewing of venues, dozens of professional wedding services, refreshments, multiple prizes and other amenities throughout the day. New to this year’s show is a Saturday night “Fabulous Brides Night Out” at the Long Beach Island Foundation featuring a fashion show, samples and mocktails.
In addition, the show featured a contest for one lucky couple to win a “Wedding VIP Experience” from NJWedding.com. This VIP add-on includes an overnight stay at Daddy O Boutique Hotel the night prior and extra special pampering the day of the event, including a white stretch limousine ride from A Shining Star Limousine Service, a wedding invitation package from Stephanie Somodi, a custom welcome basket from Camille’s Floral Design and an LBI-themed cookie basket from A Sweet Memory. This year’s VIP WINNER is Heather Kushnir and Adam Thomas from Newton, NJ! They were engaged in Beach Haven in September 2013 on the 11th Street Beach, and are planning a fall 2014 wedding in the LBI region.
Choosing a location is one of the first major decisions happy couples will make and close to one third of all weddings are now destination weddings – with beaches topping the list. Hundreds of brides from around the country have selected LBI as their wedding destination choice!
